The Weston Auditorium

The Weston Auditorium on the de Havilland campus of the University of Hertfordshire is the recording location for the majority of the record labels output. It is a 450 seat hall, with a large stage area – designed for both music and conference events.

Despite its multi-use design, it is well suited to recording solo instruments and small ensembles. The combination of concrete and wooden surfaces gives rise to well balanced reverberation, and the feedback to performers on the stage area is also good.

During recordings we base the control room in the adjacent green room and communicate with the artists via a talk back loudspeaker.
