Ensemble

The Firebird ensemble is committed largely to the performance of contemporary repertoire. The ensemble founded in 1988, is conducted by Barrie Webb, who is also known internationally for his work as a conductor. Firebird have been resident at the University of Huddersfield since 1991. The ensemble is made of players who have outstanding reputations in the field of contemporary music.
