Homecoming gig for Hertfordshire band Cardinal Jack
17/02/2010
On Thursday 18
th February 2010, well known
Hertfordshire-based Indie Pop band, Cardinal Jack is to headline at the multi
million Forum venue in Hatfield.
The three band members are previous students at the
University of Hertfordshire and Cardinal Jack is the latest band signed to the
University of Hertfordshire’s record label - Infuse. They will be playing in the 2,000 capacity
main auditorium at the regular Jam Jar event on Thursday and are keen to wow
their home crowd with the tuneful, yet hard-hitting tracks from their
forthcoming debut album.
“Having been out on the road, it’s good to come
home! We’re definitely really excited
about playing at the Forum and we can’t wait to play to the people that
supported Cardinal Jack in the early days as we wouldn’t be here without them.” Commented Cardinal Jack.
Infuse is a division of the University record label,
UHR. It is a label designed to ‘infuse’
students into the professional music industry through working with
professionals from the music industry, coupled with academic teaching. It also offers a fantastic opportunity for
students from colleges or universities across the country to be signed to the
label.
“We offer a unique
opportunity to past and present students to get involved in a professional
record label so we are really excited when one of our signings headline at a
major venue.” Says Andy Sinden from Infuse. “Cardinal Jack is one of our best bands, so we know that
they will put on a good show.”
The Forum complex is located on the University
of Hertfordshire campus but open for all to enjoy. The venue offers Hertfordshire the best live
entertainment and club facilities available. It is a sophisticated venue with three entertainment spaces, a restaurant, a
cafe, multiple bars and onsite parking for 400–and getting there just couldn't
be easier at only 22 minutes from London.
The event is free and open to over 18s
only. For more information, please visit the JamJar Home Page.
